1. GPT Engineer

A new star in the AI space. GPT-Engineer is an open-source AI tool that generates entire code based on user specifications.

In the future, we'll go from single prompt to entire code base with tools like this.

2. Meta Voicebox

Meta released an “all-in-one” text-to-voice model.

Tasks like creating audiobooks, YouTube videos, and game non-playable characters (NPCs) much easier and more efficient. This will eliminate the need to re-record. Interestingly, this is the first of Meta's AI models to be not open-sourced.

3. Google plans to replace MRIs

Sundar Pichai unveiled Google's vision to predict cardiovascular events by analyzing eye scans using AI technology.

This advancement has the potential to replace traditional diagnostic methods such as CT scans, MRIs, and X-rays. With cardiovascular diseases claiming nearly 20 million lives annually, this breakthrough could save millions of people each year.

4. AI Curriculum In Hong Kong Schools

Hong Kong secondary schools have introduced an AI curriculum.

About 70% of schools will teach AI concepts for 10-14 hours, including robotic reasoning, computer vision, etc. Almost half of the curriculum will address the ethics and social impacts of AI. Though OpenAI's blocked ChatGPT for Hong Kong, students can access mirror sites for generating writing letters.
